The bougainvillea and the scarlet geranium. With a few yellow and red antirrhinums (snapdragons) in front. Unfortunately this picture was taken in bright sunlight so they look a bit depressingly dull...
Still, they look a lot brighter than they did last Summer -
this picture shows them in August 2004 when they had just survived the summer, rather to my surprise. Then
this picture shows the bougainvilla thriving in October last year, with the geranium just about surviving. Once the rains start things really grow fast here, though!
