View from our front door

I don't usually take part in these things, but this is relevant to life in Cyprus, so here it is - the view from our front door on a sunny winter's afternoon:

Thanks to Vicki for the idea. And if anyone wants to see out of other people's front doors around the world, this is the post listing all the participants.

What a neat neighborhood! Where do people park their cars?

I thought the same thing Shauna.

This neighborhood makes me think you are the type of people who walk to the theater at night or walk down to the corner for dinner every night. Walk to the movies with flowy scarves and just the right hat on. =)

Thanks for sharing, how interesting :) I too wondered, is it a walking area, no cars needed?

Oh, well some people park in their driveways (that's what we usually do) - you can just see a tiny bit of next door's car in their driveway at the bottom of the photo. Or they park in the street.

People do walk a fair amount, but most families have a car around here.

Okay - I see the top of the car now. . .I guess with the fencing I didn't even notice the driveway. . .LOL - Thanks for straightening us out :)

Now there's something you don't see every day. Well I know you do, but we don't.

So, are you on the Greek end or the Turkish?

I love seeing how people who live in cities get greenery in. Your front door view is very interesting to me because it is so different.

OOoooo! So nice to see a view so different from my own! I'm STILL getting around to all the people who joined Vicki yesterday...every "visit" has been a delight :).

Hi, nice view out of your front door!

My family and I work across the sea from you with the Coptic Church. Found your blog after reading a review of troodos camping etc. I am trying to book in the campsite you mention for 'workers' but cannot find any info online. Can I cheekily ask that you send me an email address or contact? our address is chorltons 'at' gmail.com thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the comments! We're in the South of Cyprus, near the sea, and this is fairly typical of a neighbourhood in the suburbs of Larnaka.

Hi Sue,

I took a couple of photos of the view from our front door to show you too.

And I've interested to know what Chris is doing, but his profile is not available.
